Rodney Peckham
Rod Peckham, a senior director at Zolfo Cooper, has 30 years of diversified business and professional experience, including more than 15 years working with troubled companies, their creditors, investors or other parties-in-interest. For the past two years, Rod served as CFO of a Canadian records management and document destruction company with locations in 13 countries. Its operations include both company-owned and franchise locations with system-wide revenues of more than $400 million. As CFO, Rod led the company through a successful sale and recapitalization process.
Previously, at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Rod oversaw the assessment of internal controls over financial reporting, its budgeting and planning processes, as well as profit improvement initatives. As part of the interim management team at Collins & Aikman, Rod served as plant controller and group controller for the plastics division. Rod has also been involved in leading a $1 billion energy services company through the restatement of its financial statements. In addition, he served as a member of the interim management team at LeNature's and advised the unsecured creditors committee of Radnor Holdings.
Previously, as project manager in Sydney, Australia, Rod led the recovery of an $800 million investment in a cellular phone network. This project entailed identification of the existing cellular phone market and product strategies to gain entry into a mature market and ultimately led to asset sales negotiations, management of personnel during a wind-down process and resolution of contentious settlements. Rod also worked with Laidlaw, a transportation and health care services provider, in connection with its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings and related CCAA filings in Canada.
Before joining Zolfo Cooper, Rod spent more than 13 years by Forstmann & Company, a publicly traded marketer and manufacturer of wool and worsted woven fabrics, where he served as the CEO, CFO and corporate controller. At Forstmann, Rod's hands-on experience ranged from consolidating of manufacturing plants and streamlining product offerings to maintaining relations with investors, suppliers, creditors and employees. He also oversaw all of the company's financials, including implementation of computerized systems, public debt and equity offerings and numerous capital restructurings, both in and out of court.
Rod began his career in public accounting with Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young) and Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche).
