Zachary Stanton

Zach has over nine years of restructuring and corporate finance experience. His expertise includes capital structure analysis and valuation, operational and financial due diligence as well as business and restructuring plan development. Zach has also advised on numerous capital market and M&A transactions.

Professional Experience

Zach recently advised the lenders to the largest container terminal operator in Canada as well as the lenders to the world's largest independently owned container terminal operator. Additionally, he has advised lenders to FertiNitro, Metaldyne and Tronox and another terminal port operator.

Zach was an advisor to the TECO-Panda bank group on the restructuring of its $1.6 billion loan for the construction of generation facilities and developed a business plan to transfer ownership and operate the assets as Entegra Power Group. He served as an associate director of restructuring at NRG Energy where his primary focus was on advising the company on its strategic and bankruptcy issues, including business planning and forecasting as well as bankruptcy plan development and execution.

Zach also spent three years at Chanin Capital Partners, where he focused primarily on creditor advisory work. His notable creditor or company-side mandates included: Dura Automotive, Fedders Corp, Granite Broadcasting, Birch Telecom, Owens Corning and Nellson Nutraceutical. Previously, Zach was a corporate development analyst at NewPower Holdings, a retail energy provider. Prior to that, he worked in the economic services and dispute consulting group of Deloitte & Touche.
